Good news for adventure lovers and travel enthusiasts! One of Asia’s top skiing destinations, Gulmarg, is set to host the five-day long Gulmarg Winter Games from 7th March 2020. The event is part of the Khelo India programme and will highlight Kashmir’s beauty at a national level. Participants will also become ambassadors for Kashmir, including the scenic town of Gulmarg.

The games will be inaugurated by Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and are expected to draw over 800 participants from across India. This will be the first major sporting event in the Kashmir Valley after the abrogation of Article 370 last year.
